locationThe hotel occupies pride of place on the Torbay seafront, commanding majestic views over the bay and out to sea. It hase recently undergone a sympathetic restoration that has exposed its magnificent Victorian and Art Deco architectural characteristics.
The result is a perfect blend of modernity mixed with the opulence and grandeur of bygone days, when hotels were the places for society to be seen.
roomsThe rooms are medium in size, on average, and each room is furnished in a different style, although maintaining a traditional look. All rooms are fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and phone. The bathrooms are medium in size and are in good condition.
restaurantThe restaurant is situated on the ground floor and serves a mixture of Traditional and comtemporary european cuisine including some British favourites.
exteriorThis ia a traditional whitewashed Victorian Hotel built in the late 19th century. It has touched of 1930's Art Deco in its external design whereas internally it has facilities to match any modern built hotel.
lobbyThe lobby, large in size, is furnished in a traditional English style with an extensive seating area and an adjoining bar with a veranda.
generalThe Grand is a very pleasant hotel just minutes away from the beach it also has an outdoor swimming pool should the British Weather allow you to use it!!!
