The hotel Rodina is located in the city centre close to the national palace of Culture and all other main attractions. The hotel is positioned at a high point of Sofia city so offers panoramic views from the high floors.
rooms
Rooms are light in decor and have a traditional feel. Although they are a little old fashioned, they are clean and functional, but would ideally benefit from some renovation. The rooms are average in size and in a good condition. Bathrooms are simple and basic but adequate.
restaurant
The Panorama restaurant on the top floor provides international cuisine. The Chinese restaurant is known throughout Sofia for the quality of its cuisine.
exterior
The hotel is an enormous pale concrete high-rise block with dark facade and trim. It is modern and stands out on Sofia's skyline.
lobby
The medium sized lobby is modern and quite bright. The light coloured decor behind the reception contrasts with the dark marble trim. The lobby offers adequate seating area.
general
Rodina Hotel is one of the first and original hotels in Sofia city.Located reasonably centrally and at the high point of the city, this hotel is popular with all international visitors. The rooms are aimed more towards the traveller on a budget though due to the dated standard rooms.The hotel also has a casino.
