The majority of the rooms are medium in size with about ten percent being larger than others. All are in fair condition as are the bathrooms. Furnishings are basic as is the decor, but they are modern and clean throughout.
restaurant
The main restaurant is situated on the ground floor and serves local and international cuisine. Barbecues are organized during the summer nights. Occasionally Maltese nights take place on the rooftop by the pool area.
exterior
The hotel is modern in style and built using white limestone blocks, typical of the island's architecture.
lobby
The lobby area is medium in size and leads directly into a bar/lounge and cafeteria, where drinks are served throughout the day and late into the evening.
general
A very good hotel for its category with good services and an ideal location. (DB 04/09)
location
The friendly Metropole Hotel offers great value for money in a top location in Sliema, very close to Exiles Beach & Lido. It is within walking distance from the fashionable Sliema shopping area and within an easy stroll to St. Julians along the bustling waterfront dotted with bars, cafes and restaurants. The capital city Valletta, is a 20 min bus ride away and a bus stop for regular bus services is situated just by the hotel entrance.
