generalThe hotel is one of the dame old ladies of Singapore and is the flagship of the Shangri La chain. Their trade mark are their award winning gardens and huge resort style pool. Truly one of the must stay hotels in the world. Complimentary champagnes, wines, cocktails, juices and canapes from 11am to 10.30pm at the Valley Wing Lounge and breakfast are served in the signature private Summit Room - with a dedicated team of chefs catering to the personal tastes of each guest.
Hotel also provide shuttle service to Orchard Road.

lobbyThe lobby is huge with large Doric columns that line the perimeter. Large chandeliers supplement the already sufficient sunlight. The floor is in beige marble with seating areas for coffee and stairs leading upstairs for more lounging areas for afternoon tea.
exteriorThe hotel consists of three blocks that have been completely refurbished in 2000. The facade of windows and a roof top made of curved roofs make up the distinctive Tower Wing. The Garden and Valley Wing are mostly obscured by the lush trees and vegetation that are the hallmarks of the Shangri La Singapore.

roomsValley Deluxe rooms are 57 square meters have a European look with Oriental touches in creams and pastels and dark wood furniture. The dressing area is separated by a Chinese style swing door, which leads to the large bathroom with separate shower area. Electric curtains, chocolates in the room, porcelain teacups, a wide selection of complimentary tea leaves and coffee, fax/printer/copier machine, personalised stationery, chandeliers that dim and a TV above the bathtub adds to the luxurious feel.
