generalThis property has achieved 5 stars in the official Qualmark New Zealand rating system in the guest and hosted accommodation category. A fantastic place to stay and relax. just 800 metres from the Picton ferry terminal and railway station. Just one kilometre to the beach. A luxurious accommodation option from which to explore the regional attractions of the Marlborough Vineyards, Marlborough Sounds and many other activities. SE0908
lobbyThere is no real lobby area because of the nature of the accommodation. There is a small reception area where guests complete check-in formalities.
exteriorA beautifully restored historic colonial homestead built in 1886. Renovated in 2005. Built over two floors and set in 5 acres of protected forests and parkland.
restaurantThere is no restaurant on site. There is kitchen facilities in each suite.
roomsThere are five individually named rooms at Sennen House. The prices shown are for the Sir Joseph Banks and the Queen Charlotte rooms. All rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed and include their own lounge, kitchen area and en-suite bathroom. Included in the room price is a generous breakfast hamper, fruit bowl and tea/coffee. There is also complimentary port, chocolates and cookies in each room.
locationClose to the centre of Picton town. Picton is the gateway to the South island, as this is where the inter-islander ferry terminal arrives and departs to/ from Wellington. There is a small domestic airport at Picton and Blenheim airport is only 20minutes drive and also a railway station for the Tranzcoastal service to Kaikoura and Christchurch.
