The restaurant and bar open onto the terrace and the pool. It is just fifty steps down from the restaurant to the black sand beach.

Tahitian style bungalows, with views over the bay. They are built from local materials with a mini-bar, air conditioning, tea/coffee makers, phone, TV, video and bathrooms with views over the bay.
location
Located in a lush, tropical garden, the Lodge overlooks the bay and village of Taiohae and the black sandy beach which is 50 steps below. Nuku Hiva is the largest island in the Marquesas - approx 330 sq. km. (127 sq. miles) and is a 3h 15 min flight from Tahiti. Taiohae is a village on the sea, considered to be the commercial centre of the Marquesas. Transfer from the airport to the hotel takes 2 hours by 4 wheel drive or 7 minutes by helicopter, followed by a five minute 4 wheel drive to the hotel.
