generalThis hotel is one of the most famous in London. Currently undergoing a major refurbishment, some of the public areas in the hotel are closed off, the refurbishment is set to be completed by the end of 2008. (0708AB)
lobbyA large lobby area has recently been refurbished to very high standard and it features marble flooring, an elegant open fire and an abundance of antique furniture and pictures.
exteriorA traditional hotel built in red brick on the site of the old Grosvenor House which was the home of the Duke of Westminster. It was one of London's first grand hotels and remains one of the most famous in the world.
restaurantThe hotel has three restaurants, the restaurant overlooking Hyde Park serves traditional English food, the other serves Italian food. The best restaurant is decorated with antiques and paintings from a private collection and serves award winning French cuisine.
