Independent Report

general
This is an ideal hotel for well priced short seaside and weekend breaks. Llandudno and the surrounding areas are packed with exciting places to visit and lots of things to see and do. The two beaches, "North" and "South" shore offer lots of fun on the Golden sand, and prove extremely popular in the summer months. The Pier is also not to be missed as Llandudno is one of the few remaining seaside towns to still boast an operational Pier. (GW 09/2008)
lobby
The lobby is of a good size but rather traditional in design and feel. Staff are friendly and large groups would have no problems with space when checking in.
exterior
This is a splendid white brick Victorian Building with high ceilings and big bay windows.
restaurant
The Grand Hotel in Llandudno features a choice of restaurants depending on whether you upgrade to Premier. The Premier dining room is a bright, spacious room that has spectacular views overlooking Llandudno's bay and serves a delicious Carvery. The Main restaurant is adjacent and offers a more informal dining atmosphere with flexible seating times. The Connaught Bar is a lively bar with Karaoke, the Grand Ballroom and Langtry's cater for the entertainment in the evening and by day evolve into more relaxed areas. In addition there is a Games room and Snooker room.
rooms
All 162 en-suite bedrooms have traditional decor and are well-equipped with TV and Tea and Coffee making facilities to give a feeling of comfort and home.
location
In a prime location, overlooking the Promenade on the North Shore. Nestled at the foot of the Great Orme with magnificent views out over the bay, this family hotel is a great place to stay in North Wales. Llandudno is Wales largest resort and is only a couple of miles from Colwyn Bay: a historic town which is also home to Colwyn Bay Cricket Club, outground for Glamorgan County Cricket Club. It is also located only 5 miles away from the ancient town of Conwy, whose Castle is a definate 'must see' attraction, dating back to 1283 AD.
