pleasenoteCOMPLIMENTARY TRANSFERS: Transfers will be operated by MALAKESA TRANSPORT. On arrival, passengers should make their way through customs into the arrivals hall at the airport. The MALAKESA TRANSPORT transport desk is clearly signposted. A staff member will be there to assist customers with their transfers.
generalThis resort is set on a private tropical island, formerly the home of the British High Commissioner prior to Independence in 1970. A relaxed Vanuatu resort. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in this part of the resort. SS0910
lobbyA unique Melanesian style lobby with exceptional use made of local timbers. The Lobby opens to Micheners Restaurant and the Bali Hai Bar/Cafe.
exteriorThis part of the resort is called 'Leisure precinct', offering lagoon and beach pool, swim up bar, cafe, games room, gym, tennis courts, playground & medical centre. Individual island bungalows scattered over the island with the main complex housing the lobby, restaurant and bar.
restaurantMichener's Restaurant with a-la-carte dining with water views, specialising in local cuisine and seafood. Bali Hai cafe serves cafe style food and Tanna coffee, open daily. Watermark Bar & Grill is available to all guests including children, locals and day visitors. Michener's Restaurant and Bali Hai have been refurbished in early 2007.
roomsRooms feature floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lagoon pool village. The living/dining area has a sofa pull-out and an armchair. All rooms feature a balcony with an outdoor lounge to relax an a spa tub. Bedding configuration is: 1 King split bed and 1 sofa fold out bed. Children under 12 years of age are welcome in this part of the resort.
locationSituated on a private island, 1.5 kilometre from Port Vila township and 6 kms from the airport. The resort offers a complimentary 24 hour ferry service across to the island (3 minutes each way). Port Vila is the capital of Vanuatu, on the main island of Efate. Vila offers visitors a unique cultural experience as well as land and sea based tours, which enable visitors to meet the locals and see some of the clearest waters in the world. Port Vila also offers good resort style shopping. Complimentary airport transfers are included in room rate.
