generalThis is one of the best if not the best hotel in the village, it was recently fully refurbished. It offers great variety of accommodation, from standard bedrooms to apartments, suites and chalets.
lobbyThe large lobby is very welcoming. It is ornately decorated with Swiss wood panelling. Both the reception area and the bar have plenty of seating.
exteriorThe hotel is traditional in style and consists of several buildings which have been linked together. Most of the apartments and chalets have balconies overlooking the Eiger.
restaurantThe Schweizerhof's gourmet restaurant Schmitte has been an insider tip for years. Serving international as well as local cuisine. This is highly recommended restaurant.
roomsThe rooms vary from medium to large and are quite individual in design. The majority are quite traditional in style with high ceilings. All rooms have high quality furnishings and are in exceptional condition as are the bathrooms.
locationThis hotel is located in the centre of the glacier village of Grindelwald, opposite the railway station and within easy access to all the lifts and shops and enjoying spectacular views of the mountains.
