generalThis family run hotel may not be the most central in Grindelwald, but for the lover of the alpine countryside this is an advantage. The atmosphere is very friendly and the quality of the hotel rooms and public areas one of the highest in the area. This hotel comes highly recommended for groups and individuals. 0908SR
lobbyThe lobby is medium sized and traditionally decorated with lots of rustic carved woodwork and comfortable solid furniture.
exteriorThough largely a modern building, the hotel is built in traditional chalet style with a wooden facade and colourful flower boxes.
restaurantThe restaurant is located on the ground floor and is in beautiful Swiss rustic style with carved wooden furniture and tasteful decoration.
roomsThe rooms vary a lot in size from small to large. They are decorated in traditional Swiss rustic style and are in very good condition due to an excellent maintenance programme. The bathrooms, which are simple, clean and modern in style are also in very good condition. The hotel is comprised of 1 main building and several apartment buildings all within 2 minutes walking distance.
locationThe hotel is located at the top end of Grindelwald about 15 mins walk from the centre of the village and the railway station. Its location affords particularly spectacular views of the Eiger.
