The Mercure newa hotel is in a quiet downtown location in a pedestrian precinct near to the shops. The old part of town and the river elbe are a short stroll away, the railway station is opposite.

The large open plan lobby has a light wood reception area, and is laid out with Polished tiles. There is plenty of comfortable seating. The lobby bar is furnished with comfortable seats with autumn coloured fabrics.

The building is a highrise block of concrete and glass reminiscent of the functional style adopted after the second world war.
restaurant
The restaurant, which is located on the ground floor is decorated in light colours. It features a large buffet in the centre and is very bright due to the full length windows. The hotels roof terrace offers the best views available of Dresden. 15/06/98
