This hotel is Australia's most exclusive Wilderness Lodge with individual tree house chalets and fine dining. Casual dress, walking shoes, camera and Insect Repellant are a must. A complimentary transfer is provided daily to and from Port Douglas. Guests can use this service to visit Port Douglas for the day for shopping or for lunch. Children 12 years and under are not catered for at Silky Oaks. SS1207

The building is designed to blend into the magnificent natural surroundings.
restaurant
The restaurant has an open design, allowing the ambience of the rainforest to flow through. Picnic baskets are also available. Afternoon tea is available in the lounge or Jungle Perch located above Mossman River Gorge, affording great views of the Daintree rainforest.
rooms
Chalets (rooms) are medium in size and cosy. Most have a queen-size bed and a single bed. They are in a good condition, along with the bathrooms. There are no TV's here, to help guests leave the outide world behind.
location
The Lodge is situated on the edge of the Daintree National Park, protected by World Heritage status. It overlooks an idyllic lagoon. Port Douglas is approximately 20 minutes away (27 kms). Set on Mossman River, you can experience the wonders of the oldest living Rainforest in the world. Fly into Cairns and private or schedule land transfer (additional cost) to Mossman
