Hotel Regina Margherita really is in the centre of Cagliari. From here, everything the city has to offer is on hand and within walking distance. On leaving the hotel you will find all means of public transport which will take you to the beautiful Poetto beach. The city?s most beautiful shops are concentrated in the area found between the old streets which cross the ancient quarter and Via Roma, under the arches and the panoramic port. The hotel is found where three of the four ancient quarters of Cagliari meet. Within walking distance is Castello, the old fortified area full of ancient monuments and buildings of the city and the Cittadella dei Musei. To one side of the hotel is the Marina quarter and to the other is Villanova. These quarters boast narrow streets and small squares. They are home to ancient churches and convents and the area is full of restaurants, serving traditional fare and often offering music as well.
