locationSituated on the Buda side less than a kilometre from the stunning Gellert Hill and its statue of liberty, the Gold Buda hotel is just a short bus ride from the city centre and just a 15 minute walk from the famous Buda Castle. The river Danube is also just minutes away. budapest international aiport is just 19 kms away.
generalThis family run hotel is perched on the corner of a steep residential street on the Buda side of the Danube. There is a small fee to park in the hotel car park although free parking is available in the neighbouring streets. There is wireless connection throughout the building. A very relaxing place to stay and a good choice for people wanting personal friendly service. (AHJ 05.09)
lobbyThe lobby is small with a wide wooden reception desk to your left as you enter the hotel and a sofa to the right.
exteriorA really beautiful historical family owned building. It is just 3 storeys tall and has a round tower on the corner entrance of the building resembling a small castle.
restaurantThere is a small air conditioned cosy restaurant in the basement of the hotel which serves a good breakfast, lunch and dinner. Local and international dishes are on offer.
roomsThe rooms are all en-suite and furnished in warm colours. Red carpet and curtains, cherry wood furniture and light coloured bed spreads give the rooms a pleasant and cosy feel. The rooms have a hair dryer, mini bar, satellite TV, air conditioning and free wireless internet is available on request. Room service is also available.
