The hotel is close to the heart of Bahrain's commercial and shopping areas. It is also the nearest 5-star hotel to the airport and is easily accessible by road from the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway.
roomsAll the large rooms offer scenic views and are elegantly furnished. Rooms are in fair condition but seem a little dated.
restaurantThe hotel has a jazz club, dedicated entirely to jazz music, the only one of its kind in the Gulf. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant which features a top entertainments show. The main restaurant is open 24 hours a day. In addition, the hotel has an Italian restaurant, a rooftop lounge, a cafe and an Irish pub/restaurant.
exteriorFrom this white 14-storey venue guests can enjoy fabulous views of Bahrain.
lobbyThe very large, marble lobby has ample seating and a high ceiling. The reception is to the right and there is some comfortable seating in the centre, accompanied by a pianist in the afternoons, creating a very relaxing and elegant atmosphere.
generalThe hotel combines a very elegant atmosphere with friendly service. It is a hotel of high standards and is one of the best in the city, although parts of it could do with some renovation. ME 10/08
