exterior
The building's exterior is of traditional architecture, very large and surrounded by wonderful private gardens.
lobby
The lobby is medium sized, decorated in light colours such as creams, and golds. It has very large crystal chandeliers and the floor is laid with a very elegant carpet. On some of the walls of the reception area and around the staircase that takes you to the upper floor, you can see large tapestries, which makes the whole decor even more elegant.
restaurant
The hotel has two restaurants. One of them serves bavarian specialities and the other gourmet meals. The restaurants, which are both on the ground floor are furnished with dark wood tables and chairs, and light walls and they have large white windows overlooking the tranquil gardens.030898
rooms
The rooms vary greatly in size but on average are medium sized. They also vary vastly in condition, some rooms being in exceptional condition, while the rooms in one wing are only fair. All rooms are traditionally decorated, however. In general the bathrooms are in good condition.
location
The Steigenberger Axelmannstein is an elegant spa and resort hotel located in the centre of town in a pedestrianised area. (bad reichenhall is in the bavarian alps but only 15km from the city of salzbourg, Austria.
